To effectively address students’ basic needs, it’s essential to listen to and believe in them.

Amplifying student voices entails more than simply providing a platform for them to speak. It necessitates actively heeding their ideas, worries, and feedback and integrating it into our decision-making processes. It entails acknowledging their distinctive experiences and identities and guaranteeing that they are included and represented in all aspects of our work.

We are focused on addressing basic needs insecurity by identifying innovation and driving impact. We believe in sharing what we learn from this work with others, so effective innovation can spread, and even innovations that fail can teach us something about how best to support students. Where we learn things that work, we want to add to the evidence base in the field by documenting our work. We partner with some of the leading researchers in the country to ensure our work gets a high level of scrutiny and that the results we document can be trusted.
